BIOGRAPHY
I guess I'm what you may say a 360°
multidisciplinary visual artist. A dreamer and a child at heart. Coffee addict, passione by nature and loyal to what i believe in.
My never-ending now is full of dreams, art, music,words and love for life.
Having a background in Fashion Design and Photography in the UK and Italy, I had the opportunity to gain valuable work experiences in both of my chosen fields and in Mass Media, mainly working as a Fashion Editor and Stylist for lifestyle magazines such as Cosmopolitan Cyprus, Benissimo and others. And also in Theater, working as a costume designer, wardrobe coordinator and set designer for minor projects. From 2007 and till 2012 I launched my own Luxury Leather Accessories label under the name of ''Chrysalis by Kate''.
In the meantime I keep challenging myself and my creative limits by taking part in various artistic contests and exhibitions
The first was a personal, photographic college project called ‘’I.E.D Riciclando 2003’’ at the time published in national newspapers, followed by an exhibition shown in many Italian cities. Later, as a finalist of the ‘’Montblanc Young Artist Patronage 2010 Competition’’ I participated in a collective exhibition and charity auction. In 2012 I had the opportunity to participate in two Collective CHEAPART exhibitions - first in Limassol, Cyprus and then in Amsterdam, Holland.
A year later, in 2013 I joined the Creative Start Up See.Me through which, I had my work displayed multiple times at their gallery space in NYC, twice at SCOPE Miami and even once on the largest billboard in Times Square. With It’s Liquid Group in 2014, I participated in the collective- ‘’Borderland: Hidden Identities and Forbidden Desires’’ in Zaragoza and the ‘’Morphos-Sustainable Empires’’- (Pixels of Identities: Venice). In July 2015, I had the opportunity for my work to be shown via the Exposure Awards 2015, in a private Digital exhibition event, at the Louvre Museum.And also set-up the the 3-day collective ‘’V art Exhibition’’ again in July.
My work is currently included in the ‘’Dreamers Collection’’ book of a series of books featuring selected ‘’Exposure Awards 2015’’ entrants. Now published and available in hard cover. Upcoming publication of my work will be in the October/ November issue of Aesthetica magazine.
My love for theatre led me to join an amateur Theatrical group for 2 and a half years in 2012 and eventually take part in a series of very interesting seminars and courses about theater through which I have learned a lot.
